The last post…

Dear All
Once again an amazing residential, with memories made for the children which will last a lifetime. Thank you, staff, for your hard work and commitment and giving up your time with your own families. I hope that children, parents and staff at Rockingham have been inspired by the experiences we have had this week. This is what it’s all about – going above and beyond to give first-hand experiences which will inspire and motivate.

Mrs Tunks, Mrs Millican and Mrs Baum, you truly are inspirational and an asset to the school. We could not have done this without you.

Children, your parents will be proud to know that everywhere we went we had comments about your excellent behaviour and good manners (and of course your orange jackets!) Mealtimes were a social delight (if a little noisy at times!) and through the week you have become more organised and independent. Developing and learners and individuals! This has been an honour to watch.

We had many highlights and as the week progressed, you started to look outwards and appreciate the beauty of the Northumbrian coastline, the castles and churches and wildlife. You began to the see that man-made structures such as the Millennium Bridge and the Sage can also evoke an emotional feeling, it beats YouTube hands down! I hope that over the weekend you can share some of your best moments with your family. From the boat to the walk to St. Cuthbert’s Isle, this visit has seen many firsts. Children have shared their best moments and have all said how they have become more independent and organised, let’s see how long that lasts!

Parents, we hope you enjoyed following our blog and sharing our days, it certainly sounds like it from your positive comments. Your children have gone through this experience in the comfort that you have been watching and your comments have meant a lot.

Thank you for your responses and helping the blog to be so successful, we have a number of parents vying for ‘blogger of the week’! Thank you also for your kind words and thanks, we do appreciate it.
Have a great weekend all!

Mrs Greenwood and Mr Williams.

I don’t want to rock the boat, but this may be the best one yet!
